Kitchens

Kitchen Remodeling

Cabinets, countertops, tile, lighting and layout changes, designed around how you cook and gather.

  • Layout design & renderings
  • Cabinets, countertops & backsplash
  • Lighting, electrical & plumbing changes
  • Flooring & finish carpentry
Planning guide: kitchens
  • Decide the layout first. Moving a sink, range or wall changes plumbing, electrical and permit needs more than any finish choice.
  • Cabinets usually set the schedule. Many lines take weeks to arrive, so we order as soon as the design is approved.
  • Countertops come late. Stone tops are measured after cabinets are installed, so templating happens mid-project.
  • Plan a temporary kitchen. We'll map out where you'll cook while the work is underway.

Bathrooms

Bathroom Remodeling

Primary baths, hall baths and powder rooms in Limerick, Royersford and nearby towns, with the waterproofing and ventilation done right behind the tile. Remodeling in Trappe? See bathroom remodeling in Trappe, PA.

  • Tile showers & tub surrounds
  • Vanities, fixtures & lighting
  • Waterproofing & ventilation
  • Layout changes & plumbing moves
Planning guide: bathrooms
  • Waterproofing matters more than tile. Ask any contractor what membrane goes behind the shower walls.
  • Vent the fan outside. A properly sized exhaust fan protects the new bath from moisture and mold.
  • Pick fixtures early. Shower valves go in the wall before tile, so trim choices have to be settled first.

Basements

Basement Finishing

Family rooms, offices, guest suites and home gyms in space you already own. We finish basements in Pottstown, Limerick, Royersford and across western Montgomery County.

  • Framing, insulation & drywall
  • Ceilings, lighting & outlets
  • Bathrooms & wet bars
  • Flooring made for below grade
Planning guide: basements
  • Solve moisture first. Finishing over damp walls traps water, so we check for it before anything is framed.
  • Bedrooms need a way out. A basement bedroom needs a code-compliant egress window or door, so we plan it from the start.
  • Expect a permit. Finishing a basement usually requires a building permit and inspections, which we handle.
  • Ceiling height and mechanicals. Ducts, beams and the furnace set where soffits and closets go, so we lay them out in the design.

Whole home

Whole-Home Remodeling

Several rooms or the entire house, phased so you always know what happens next.

  • Design & phasing plan
  • Open floor plans & wall removal
  • Flooring, trim & paint throughout
  • Kitchens and baths in one project
Planning guide: whole-home remodels
  • Walls may need an engineer. Removing or moving a wall can require a structural review; we plan for it before demolition.
  • Phasing decides if you can stay. We map the work room by room so you know which spaces you can use and when.
  • One project can save time. Demolition, permits and trades are scheduled once instead of room by room.

Painting

Interior & Exterior Painting

Walls, ceilings, trim, doors and cabinets inside; siding, trim and porches outside. The prep comes first, because that's what decides how long the paint lasts.

  • Interior walls, ceilings & trim
  • Exterior siding, trim & doors
  • Cabinet painting & refinishing
  • Benjamin Moore and other professional-grade paints

Recent painting work: a Royersford room refresh (paint, trim and doors), a Limerick bedroom in gray with white crown and trim, and trim repainted after a stucco restoration in King of Prussia.

Planning guide: painting
  • Prep decides the lifespan. Washing, scraping, sanding, caulking and priming bare wood take longer than the painting, and cheap quotes skip them.
  • Rotted wood comes out first. Paint over rot fails in the same spot within a season. We replace it before painting; see wood rot repair.
  • Homes built before 1978 may have lead paint. Federal rules require lead-safe practices when that paint is disturbed, and we follow them.
  • Inside, any season; outside, May to mid-October. Exterior paint needs dry surfaces and mild temperatures. Book spring exteriors over the winter.

Outside your home

Exterior Remodeling

Roofing, siding, stucco, masonry, decks and concrete, planned as one weather-tight system instead of separate repairs.

Roof Replacement & Repair

Roof replacement and repair, with flashing, ventilation and gutters planned together.

Good to know
  • Leaks start at flashing. Most roof leaks begin around chimneys, walls and vents, not in the shingles. Need a leak fixed now? See roof leak repairs.
  • Ventilation affects lifespan. A hot, poorly vented attic shortens the life of new shingles.

Lap siding, trim, gutters and downspouts · Boyertown, PA

Siding Replacement

New siding, trim, soffits and fascia, with the weather barrier behind it done properly.

Good to know
  • The layer behind matters. The weather barrier under siding does the real waterproofing.
  • See samples in daylight. Colors shift outdoors; we bring samples to your house so you can compare.
  • HOA first. Siding color and material usually need HOA approval, which we submit for you.

Stucco Repair

Water trapped behind stucco is a well-documented problem in Southeastern Pennsylvania. We repair stucco across Montgomery County, Philadelphia and Berks County, starting with where the water gets in.

Good to know
  • Know the warning signs. Stair-step or vertical cracks, brown streaks below windows, white chalky deposits and soft or bulging areas can all point to water behind the stucco.
  • Fix the source, not just the patch. Lasting repair starts by finding how water is getting behind the stucco.
  • Photos of what we find. You'll see the condition behind the wall in your project app.

Masonry & Brick Repair

Brick and stone repair, repointing, steps, chimneys and walls.

Good to know
  • Mortar should be softer than brick. The wrong mortar can damage older brick as it expands and contracts.
  • Chimney tops keep water out. A cracked crown or failed flashing lets water into the masonry below.

Two-level composite deck with white railings · Pottstown, PA

Deck Building & Repair

New decks, rebuilds, stairs and railings in composite or wood, for homes in Pottstown, Royersford and nearby.

Good to know
  • Attached decks need permits. Inspections check footings and the ledger connection to your house.
  • Composite vs. wood. Composite costs more up front and needs far less upkeep than wood.

Concrete Patios, Walkways & Driveways

Patios, walkways, driveways, steps and pads, formed and reinforced with rebar on a prepared base, plus repair and resurfacing of cracked or sunken concrete. Recent pours include a three-car driveway in Linfield, a driveway and walkways in Reading, and a patio and a carport slab in Pottstown.

Good to know
  • Base and drainage decide lifespan. Most failed concrete started with poor prep underneath.
  • Joints control cracking. Control joints help concrete crack where it's planned to, not across the middle.
  • Repair or replace? Surface cracks and spalling can often be resurfaced. Heaved, sunken or crumbling slabs are usually cheaper to replace than to keep patching. Trip-hazard repairs are on the repairs page.
  • Businesses too. Pads, sidewalks and parking-area concrete for commercial properties are on the commercial page.

Permits & HOA Approvals, Handled

Building permits

In Pennsylvania, building permits are issued by your township or borough under the Uniform Construction Code. Layout changes, new circuits, plumbing moves, basement finishing, decks and structural work usually need one. We prepare the drawings, submit the application, schedule every inspection and keep the permit on site.

HOA approval

Exterior changes like siding, roof color, decks and patios often need your HOA's architectural review before work starts. We put together the submission (drawings, product specs and color samples) and adjust the plan if the committee asks for changes.

Before work starts

  1. Design drawings prepared
  2. HOA architectural review submitted
  3. Township permit application filed
  4. Inspections scheduled with the township

Questions

Home Remodeling Questions

Do I need a permit for my remodel?

Often, yes. Layout changes, new electrical circuits, plumbing moves, basement finishing, decks and structural work usually need a permit from your township or borough. Cosmetic updates often don't. We check what your project needs and handle the application and inspections.

Who handles HOA approval?

We do. We prepare the drawings, product specs and color samples your HOA's architectural review asks for, submit them and adjust the plan if needed before work starts.

How do I know if my stucco has water damage?

Look for stair-step or vertical cracks, brown streaks below windows and roof lines, white chalky deposits, and soft or bulging spots. Those signs often mean water is getting behind the surface. A proper repair starts by finding where the water enters, not just patching the crack.

Do I need a permit to build a deck in Pennsylvania?

Usually, yes. Most attached decks need a permit from your township or borough, with inspections of the footings and the connection to your house. We handle the permit and schedule the inspections.

How long will my remodel take?

It depends on the scope and how long materials take to arrive. Your estimate includes a schedule, and the project app shows progress against it every working day.

Can I live at home during the remodel?

Usually, yes. We plan protection, dust control and phasing so you know which rooms you can use and when.

Do you help with design?

Yes. Melissa, our office manager, works with you on layout drawings, renderings and material samples before anything is built.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, through Wisetack. 0% APR is available up to 24 months for eligible customers, and checking your options doesn't affect your credit score.* See the full terms at the bottom of this page.

What areas do you serve?
